Sprinkles of tears and laughter....

Every time I photograph a wedding, I can’t help but think of how much fun it is to watch 2 love birds tie the knot. Every couple wants things to be perfect, just how they dreamed. The reality of it is things hardly ever go off without a hitch. If you are lucky, your day turns out to be controlled chaos with enough laughter and tears sprinkled in to make things memorable. At the most recent wedding I photographed, it was no exception.

The day started out beautiful! The sun was shining, the birds were singing, “Oh what a beautiful morning”! Then a tree branch fell on my car… Ok, not really (one too many car insurance commercials), but things did look like they were going to turn to doom and gloom. The skies started to darken and the rain clouds moved in. The ceremony was indoors, but the reception was partially outdoors (dinner outdoors / dancing in the barn). This was going to be one of those Alanis Morissette deals ““it’s like raaaaaaaaaainnnn on your wedding day… a freeeee riiiide when you’ve already paid”. You get the irony...

So the clouds rolled in, the skies opened up, and down came sprinkles of tears and laughter. Just enough to make memories of Justin and Ashley’s happily ever after….
